Are you asking yourself, what is this GDI scam? Everyone looking for a way to make money online comes across this popular choice eventually. I just had to look into it and try it out for myself. Well, I am here to honestly answer your questions. Is GDI a scam or isn't it?

When I first found out about GDI (Global Domains International), I watched the introductory video and was impressed a little. They made it sound so easy to make money! Imagine a home-based business that, well, really didn't require you to own a "business". Simply try it out and tell others about it. Seems to good to be true, right?

First I should tell you more about GDI itself and then about my experience with the business. Global Domains International was founded by Michael Reed and Alan Ezeir, and is the official registry for .WS domains. In late 2000, about nine months after launching, GDI had sold over 100,000 .WS registrations - some to big name customers such as Yahoo! and Dell. By 2004, GDI launched the affiliate program which allows affiliates to own their own domain names and build an income at the same time.

In determining if GDI is a scam, I had to ask if they even have a "real" product or service or are they just another pyramid scheme that takes your money. Turns out they do have a genuine product and service -web hosting. After a friend signed up, I felt more confident and thought I would give it a shot since there was a FREE trial. I'm pretty cheap so that helped. If I don't make much or any money at all, I would still have a website and domain name for only ten bucks a month. Not a big risk I guessed. Unlike free sites, at least I won't have all those pesky ads on my site!

For the $10/month you end up paying, you get a web site, 10 pages, 10 e-mail addresses, a site builder, domain and e-mail forwarding, and more. Each page can surprisingly have a large amount of data. The 10 e-mail address can come in handy if you are working your business online and want an email for each one or have them forwarded to a single address.

GDI also has the potential to bring in a pretty good income. Each person you refer earns you $1 a month, every month. Now, that doesn't seem like much but they pay you down to 5 levels, so I checked the math on this. Remember the power of leverage here. That can result in over $3000/month by just referring 5 people. Pretty intriguing. You might not become an instant millionaire, but what is wrong with a great income stream? See for yourself below just how much you can earn!

I was also concerned with the fact that so many people have joined GDI. Does this mean it's too late to join now? With millions of new people joining the internet every year, the idea of being "too late" is just plain silly. There are millions upon millions of potential customers still out there that have yet to hear about GDI.

Well, I signed up after reading about all this. I thought the sign up process was very easy. And that's great, because my future referral will want that too. Next, I had to start promoting GDI. I began promoting immediately .... and got no signups after a few days. Boy was I dissapointed. Then I tried advertising in more places, using safelists, traffic exchanges, etc., and finally got a couple signups! now I was getting excited. But still, I needed more to be sure about this. Then I found some programs that advertise GDI for you, like turbo GDI and Hits2U. That's when the signups really started coming. And then my signups got signups. I guess the key is patience. You won't make big money overnight, but with a continued effort you will be surprised how the system sells itself.

Over a year went by and now I am consistenly getting checks and have nothing but good things to say about GDI. Their customer service is top-notch also.

So, is GDI a scam? Absolutely not. Before you think again, what is this GDI scam...find out more information and make up your own mind. It won't hurt to give it a shot as you can always get out later if you want.
